Haven't seen it posted. If so, my apologies.

No interest in Bonds. Good!

One year deal for Gonzo. Thinks Gonzo will sign with someone soon. Duq says if offers are equal, the west coast team will win out. Come on Mariners, Dodgers. Angels. Padres, Giants, and A's. (did I leave anyone out?)

Most of the stuff is old news but thought you'd like the article nonetheless.

More classic Flanagan. This guy must have read a book on GM speak:

"With our board, anyway, we're still mixing and matching," added Flanagan. "We could still do somebody via trade and somebody [that's] a free agent. It hasn't settled down to, 'This is it.'

That's also been stated in a bunch of news stories in the last several days.

However, as has been mentioned above, things change.

Yes they do but i find it hard to believe that they were interested for a while, then weren't and a day or 2 later, they meet with us on the first day of the meetings to discuss him.

BB seemed pretty adamant about it.

Personally, i think the Brewers always have been and BB was trying to prove a point with me that i don't always know if a team is interested.

He told me the other day that the Brewers were interested in Rlo a month ago. He made it seem like the interest was no longer there.

Where does it say that they are. The writer wrote the following:

In the past, the Orioles have reportedly talked about sending Lopez to Milwaukee for left fielder Kevin Mench. Those talks may or may not be revived, but the Brewers are definitely interested in moving either Mench or right fielder Geoff Jenkins. Milwaukee general manager Bob Melvin said the O's were one of two teams he met Monday.

Maybe when guys like Meche, etc are asking for $10 million a season they are looking again. But you should know better than I. You know everything better than everyone!

Right here:
Jim Duquette, Baltimore's vice president of baseball operations, said that all of his starters came up at various points of the day and that Lopez was mentioned by almost everybody. Two of the teams -- Milwaukee and Seattle -- were confirmed by Duquette, but the O's were expected to meet with a few more suitors as the night progressed

    • Mayo coming back from injury could have his debut in Baltimore delayed.
    • Wasn't a huge fan of his swing for that last out today but coming in to pinch hit with 2 outs isn't easy.
    • Interpreting Malike's comment that way is theoretically possible, but I didn't take it that way--didn't feel that shade was being thrown on me at all. But thanks for the concern.
    • People are being a bit ridiculous with the holier than thou takes criticizing a little humor. I am not saying what happened couldn’t cause a significant concussion, but it would be a bit of a fluke if it did. Mullins barely hit him with the bat and he had a helmet on. The fact that it was in the back of the head did make him more vulnerable, but this wasn’t the type of thing you see and think he was lucky to be alive.  Guys have probably hit their heads harder on the top of the dugout or on the fence making catches.  And note this comes from someone whose son has suffered severe concussions and who is well aware of the dangers associated with them. In short, people need to lighten up a bit on guys like Roy.  It was a little gallows humor.
    • Yeah, you read that wrong. LA2 is one of my favorite posters here and he knows it. No harm, no foul. If you aren't familiar with the game threads, it doesn't matter what the team is doing, people complain about it and people did make that same joke in the game thread long before Roy said it here. Game thread in summary - when the O's are not doing well, it's insufferable, when they are doing well, it's mildly less insufferable. There, that wasn't hard. I'd appreciate it if you didn't assume I'm throwing shade at people. I'll leave that up to you to do, you're really good at it.
    • Comp a. Like Gunnar, and beavers…
    • Wasn't Westburg a 2nd round draft pick?  It's a little early to judge last year's draft.
