Tickets, Tickets, Tickets...who knows what's going on?

I'm pretty sure you can just copy/paste the bar code from the ticket to StubHub. I know it's not a "one-click" option, but it's really quick and easy to do. Just view, copy, paste, and submit. Took me about 3 minutes to list my SRO tix last game. Then I spent about 15 to decide the price.

(sorry, I'm hawking the board to see if folks start posting about getting the lottery notification emails)

Yeah, it is a really quick process. My brother had tickets for the first two games of the Nats series. He had me put them on Stubhub for him because he could not go because we went to game 2 of the O's-Tigers, and he went to game 3 in Detroit. The fees are crazy sometimes, but the process is quick and easy.

Have any other non-season ticket holders received the email about the drawing yet?

Nope. Will post if/when I receive, along with results. It's like Christmas morning, except a Christmas where most people don't get gifts, and those that do still have to pay for them...but still exciting!

Yeah, I forgot to mention the fees. For the last home game, StubHub basically takes 25% plus $3.50 ("delivery" because emails are expensive!) from the sale price. They take 15% from you, they take 10% from the buyer ("Listed Price" vs. your sale price). But they usually sell fast so I don't have a better option other then selling to a friend.

Yeah, it really is the best option if you need to sell quickly and easily, and buyers go there because it is secure and reliable. But man, every time I buy or sell on there, I think about how much money they are raking in.

Just throw it up on Facebook and tell people you are selling for Stubhub prices minus 20 percent. You ought to have some interest and your friends feel like you are doing them a solid.

Oh yeah, in a situation like this, getting rid of the tickets quickly is not a problem at all.

What's the deal here? They had an artificial 5 PM deadline on season plan deposits, now I go to the page and it shows no deadline but they are still taking deposits?

I understand the ploy to sell as many 2015 season tickets as possible, really, I do. But as an out-of-towner it's really frustrating to feel like I'm being given the runaround. People had the last month of the regular season plus half of October now to put down deposits. Meanwhile lifelong Orioles fans who can't reasonably buy season tickets due to circumstances beyond their control are left waiting.

I hear ya man. I live in Charlotte, and I was lucky enough to go to game 2 of the ALDS. I stayed up there for a few days and just got home last night, but I will happily make the drive again this weekend if I can get tickets again through the lottery. I know that is highly unlikely, but I would like to figure it out one way or another. I know the timing is tight and that they are trying to sell as many season tickets as they can, but I shudder to think what the process would have been like if the series went five games.

At some point they're going to have to come clean and admit they don't have any tickets to sell, right?

You mean for the lottery winners / general public sale? I'm fairly confident they will still have some game 6 & 7 tix available.

‎I recall the O's added an extra set of stands on the flag court for the 96 and 97 playoffs. Wonder if they've considered doing that now given the intense demand?

True, but I don't know how many more tickets that would add because it would take away from the standing room only sales.

    • That would be career suicide if someone was bold enough to be that stupid, lol.
    • I don't think so. There's really not a lot going well for them right now.
    • If we make the playoffs, he can’t be on the roster. I don’t care how many career saves he has.
    • Well, hmm. Ask the Phillies if they regret relying on Kimbrel in the playoffs. You may have your answer whether you want him on the roster IF the O’s hold onto a wild card spot. Or at this point, are you comfortable having him on the roster while trying to nail down that spot! I’m not and I’m sure his team mates cringe when they see him get up.
    • No one’s said that other top prospects don’t struggle.  There’s a sense of entire that ours shouldn’t, for some reason. I’m not sure why.  Maybe it’s because if Holliday and Mayo were hitting, this offense wouldn’t be performing so poorly like it has been for the past month or so. Maybe it’s because we’ve been conditioned to think that a lot of our guys are “can’t miss.” The only thing that’s missed are the pitches that Mayo and Holliday swing at night after night, game after game. In regard to Elias, it’s nice of him to offer himself up as someone who’s taking accountability, but they’re just words and they don’t really mean anything.  I used to work for an insufferable dickhead who’d “take accountability” and say things like “I’m responsible for this,” and “this falls on me,” and “I’m the one to blame here,” and “I accept the responsibility for this,” when things went wrong. And I’m not calling Elias an insufferable dickhead when I said that.  I’m saying that it’s easy to say those words because they’re what people want to/need to hear in a time where things are going sideways. But that’s the thing, those words don’t mean anything unless they’re said directly to someone who controls your fate or you fail to take action to rectify the situation, which is what made the guy I worked for an insufferable dickhead.  He said those things to us,-the employees- and then proceeded not to do anything to actually take accountability in his actions. So we’ll see what Elias does to rectify the situation in the offseason as I don’t think there’s much he can do this late in the season. I believe him when he said he didn’t anticipate this…and to be fair, none of the resident geniuses here who are calling for his head didn’t anticipate this, either.
    • Thx for the breakdown. We have to finish ahead of two of these four teams. Mariners and Tigers both 6 GB in loss column, but also the hottest two of the five teams. Therefore, an actual dogfight, who'da thunk? We also still have a 3G advantage over KC. The order of difficulty in schedule, offhand, looks to be: SEA, BAL, MIN, KC, DET.  So I see our best chances with the elimination of SEA (-6/7) and MIN (-4).
    • This team has had injuries of almost biblical proportions. 4 starting pitchers down, most for long periods of time, or all of the season. 4 in the starting lineup for extended periods of time, or out for the season. 2 key relief pitchers, and one closer that made all the difference last year.I defy ANY manager to win with all of those setbacks. On top of that, we have been starting as many as 4 rookies in the lineup if not all at once, then regularly. It's hard to expect the "light " to go on immediately. No, I can't blame Hyde but next year could be an even bigger challenge if the Orioles dont pursue at least 2 more starting pitchers and one TOR starter. We could lose Santander too, so we may need another MOO power hitter, and by MOO I dont mean Cowser. I DONT SEE THIS oriole team getting past the first round, and it looks like Grayson Rodriguez may not make it back either. Just horribly bad fortune...but I cant blame Hyde for that.
