The "Win (ANOTHER) Five in A Row" and get back in it - Thread

The Pirates have won 12 out of their last 14 games.

The Tigers have lost 8 in a row, and 11 out of their last 13.

Two weeks ago, both of those scenarios would have seemed unlikely ...... not necessarily "shocking", but unlikely.

It's a long season, and while this Orioles team is flawed, it is far from a bad team ........ presuming their demise is far too premature.

They didn't win 5 straight, but they went 4-1 overall.

And they did it by taking one game at a time (while simultaneously playing some good baseball.)

When weams started this thread, he asked for 5 wins in a row, but the Orioles had to settle for winning 4 out of 5.

The Orioles just did it again ...... they have won 4 out of their last 5. O:clap3:

Make that 5 out of 6, for only the second time this season.

For what it's worth and because I found basic number crunching a good way to procrastinate....

During the current "5 of last 6," O's averaged 3.67 versus giving up 1.83. Six (awful) games prior to that, O's averaged 2.33 while giving up 4.5. MW returned 6/5 (last 5 games)...O's averaged 3.8 and gave up 1.8. I am a CJ fan, but something intangible about MW's presence can't be denied. Granted, these numbers are including the White Hot Red Sox bats (wink wink)....just putting it out there. Let's go O's!

Make that 6 out of 7 ...... for the first time this season.

4 straight wins ...... for the first time this season.

A series sweep ....... for the first time this season.

Also, AJ is HITTING! Anyone think that Adam's breaking out of a slump is coincidentally coincident with our run?

Jones is crushing. He got a couple days off for his injuries to heal. David Lough made that possible. This is all because of David Lough.

Yes, but since we lost all the games David Lough started in CF, anyone could have done it. Filling in only matters if we win.
