If he could play defense then it would be evident by now.

Probably. If he hits this well for the entire season, I won't care if he never plays an inning in the field.

We have the DH rule in the AL. Paredes will always have a position if he keeps hitting.

Right. It would just be nice to have a little more flexibility.

How about 1B?

Sure, why not? But we seem to have that position covered by LH and RH hitters. But I'll always take a little more depth.

Sheesh. How long can Paredes keep this up? Too bad he has no position. These coaches need to teach him how to play a little bit of 2b. Take grounders there and learn some LF/RF every single day during BP and during drills.

Thankfully we play in the AL.

This is 2014 Bud. He has just hit 96 mph in the seventh inning. His command is also back. He is hitting all his spots. Very encouraging.

It's really not. He's served more meatballs than Sotto Sopra today. He's been very lucky until just now.
