He hit .306 last year and was still only a 2 win player. He's the type of player I despise watching. The 2 most important things a hitter can do are get on base and hit for power. Revere does neither.

He is not a bad little player and I like that there is some control left, but don't kid yourself. He doesn't walk so his average plus 20-30 points will be his OBP. Since he has almost no power, he HAS to hit 300 to be a borderline ML player.

That would be my guess. Probably Wilson or TJ alternate in long relief for August and both are up here come Sept 1st.

Career .290 hitter, 30-40 steals, never struck out more than 54 times in a season. I'll take that every day.

We need to go back 30 years in time to focus on those stats.

I wouldnt be opposed to getting parra and revere while dumping Tommy, I'd actually be okay with that. What's the complaint? We have SNIDER and Parmalee playing way too muchh

Hunter and...? Norris has shown that he can't be a multiple inning reliever, either. Does anyone have any faith that he could be effective as a 1 inning reliever? At least Hunter has shown that he can go out and get 4-6 outs if he has to. I don't think Norris can do that, and I think losing Hunter substantially weakens the bullpen.

Can someone remind me how long Revere and Parra are under contract? Are they both rentals, or would we have at least one of them next year?

Last season, Revere had 13 walks in 626 plate appearances - and 22 XBH's. Speed is great, but if you don't get on base and you have no power, you're not going to help your team win.

I think Parmalee might be in trouble for his roster spot, of course, just my own opinion.

Could go wild, trade a couple for a couple, DFA somebody and promote somebody.

That would be a big shakeup.

This is pretty much where I'm at. If we aren't going to get someone like Cespedes, Upton, or even Bruce. I would rather keep our prospects and see what Alvarez can do for us.
