Good to se some strikeouts this start. He was striking guys out like gaillardo at a low rate.

He's also been very pitch-efficient.

He only needed 71 pitches to complete 6.33 innings in his previous game last week, and 85 pitches to complete 6 innings today.

Also, even though he only had 1 strikeout in his previous game last week, 11 out of the 19 outs that he recorded that day were via the groundball.

Baysox starting pitcher Chris Lee entered the game 2-0 on the season and he continued his hot start. After allowing a run in the first inning, he locked in to throw five more scoreless innings for his third win.

Great pickup. Looks like a groundball pitcher, as well ... I'd like to see a better walks-to-strikeout numbers, though.

He has been giving out a lot of free passes.

In his last 3 outings combined, he has given out 9 free passes (8 walks and 1 hit batsman) in 19.33 innings pitched.

Even if he didn't get his strikeout numbers up, if he cut down on the free passes and continued to get a lot of ground balls, that would be an excellent improvement.

The lone run that he ceded yesterday was due to him walking the very first 2 batters of the game. One of them scored, and they did not even need a hit or a sacrifice fly to get him in.
