Ask Bordick. ..Of course he said two years ago the Orioles had one of the best starting staffs in the game.Him being a coach and coordinator might make him a little biased.

What I'd been telling myself was that most of our games had been away games, so none of the starters were playing.

Can't use that excuse for Ubaldo or Gonzo, but then I told myself they weren't really trying to pitch midseason form because they felt they had spots.

Maybe tonight's excuse was they were just playing in their second game so far, so still rusty.

But damn, a pattern I could do without...
