Maybe Buck is losing the battle to win the war here. If Ubaldo is terrible again, then he will have further ammunition to convince Ubaldo to accept a minor league assignment--or to convince DD and PA to cut bait once and for all.

Additon just lost his starting spot in Norfolk's rotation. There's no hope coming from the minors. Worley isn't stepping of the DL and into throwing 80+ pitches. Let's just hope Ubaldo pitches well. The other options aren't great.
