Cashner may not Start Tonight.

Yeah, a 6+ ERA away from SD is awesome.

This board cracks me up. You go off observation, they whirl insults and say to bring facts. You bring facts and they say his stuff is good.

A bunch of bullies. I had Crazysilver PM the other day to call me names. Class act there. Why I continue posting here is beyond me. I post on some other sports boards and no place else is such disrespect tolerated.

Leave me the hell alone.

Nobody is saying Cashner is some great pitcher. However anybody in their right mind would love to swap Ubaldo for him.

I appreciate your perspective although I disagree 98% of the time.

I sense a great disturbance in the force....

As if thousands of arbitrary criticisms of DD all cried out in unison, and were suddenly silenced.

So why would you appreciate his perspective then?

Differing opinions doesn't mean his thoughts can't be appreciated. If you bring some insight and explain why you think that way it brings a differing view to the board. If everyone thought the same way this board wouldn't be as interesting IMO.

In this age of sophisticated data driven projections and 24/7 scouting, this seems like a very folksy way to make a major decision. Sometimes I think Ken's sources are just trolling him.

Dan Duquette. That's a name I've not heard in a long time.

Makes sense to want to see him pitch on the road vs a good AL East lineup. Especially if you're the O's.

For the record, I am not a fan of Cashner either. But if we can move him for Ubaldo, I am for it.

That said, I want to touch on the two bolded parts above. I agree this board can at times have a heard mentality. I would be shocked to not find that true. You post an awful lot of negative stuff here and frankly, Cashner stats notwithstanding, it is often in my opinion lacking in fact. You don't like DD. Fine, I wholeheartedly support your right to do so. You don't like what the O's are doing in general. Fine also. But here are some facts. The Orioles have one of the best records in MLB over the last 4 years. The currently also have the best record in the AL. They also currently lead the AL East.

Those are facts. You want to pick on players, management, front office etc., this is a place to do it. But from my vantage point. You sound more like those who predict the Orioles to finish last every year because before DD and Buck they did. And that is fine, but it does not come across as someone who is a fan. But that is just my opinion. Hang in there. It's gonna be a heck of a ride.
