Rockies have to be kicking themselves over giving Castro away.  How do you give up on guy with an arm like that who is only 22 years old.  Especially when every team is starved for quality arms.

We've crossed into the baseball twilight zone when one of the best pitchers on the staff isn't carrying a majority of the innings available as a starter in favor of Jimenez.

Tillman has history with the club, so lengthening the leash is understandable, if not entirely frustrating to watch at times. But there is absolutely no way Castro should be left out of the rotation at this point.

And please don't tell me about a long man. Tonight was a rare occurrence when the starter actually performed well and key members of the bullpen did not. Castro is usually the guy in relief of both Tillman and Jimenez when either has an abbreviated outing.

Jimenez has very little left on an expiring contract, cut bait already. Asher or Wright can be called back to be the long man. It's not as a vital a spot as number two starter.

There is absolutely zero reason for Ubaldo to still be on this team.

Awful managing and GM decisions have allowed him to soak us for 4 straight seasons.

He's always been a starter IIRC. They are using him out of the pen right now, but starting is definitely the plan.

He didn't start last season.  The season prior to that he only made five starts.

When we eventually "throw in the towel," I want to see us give Castro and Wright a few starts.

I'd imagine with the team slowing Bundy down that he'd be getting a couple starts in September once the rosters expand when they can bring up a long reliever.

It's kind of a mystery why Castro has struck out so few batters (25 in 46 innings), with the stuff he has.     His command has gotten better and better as the year has progressed.    I feel confident whenever he takes the mound.
