After a very well-rounded August in which they got on base a lot, hit well in RISP situations AND set the major league record for home runs for the month, the O's so far in September have gone back to being almost entirely reliant on homers, scoring 19 runs and hitting 11 homers in 5 games.

It seems like the worse the pitcher is the worse our line up is. If I had a 1,000 dollars every time Davis looked at strike 3 I could retire. We should have lit up the Blow Jays pitching like the rest of the AL has. Pitches with 5+ ERAs are killing us. We were a playoff team last year and had the best record in the AL the last five years now we look like 2007. I think it's safe to say that DD has to go.

Since beating the Yankees on Manny Machado's walk-off home run with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th inning last week, the Orioles' offense has collectively scored 10 runs over their last 6 games.

And they only scored 2 runs in tonight's game ........ but it was enough for the W.
