I tell you ...If the Orioles can get Buehler. White, Oaks, and Heredia for  Britton I will take back every bad thing I've ever said about Duquette

Buehler is your upside and probably still a year away. Same with White and I love his sinker. Oaks is close to ready now 3.64 at AAA in 15 starts and Heredia is an OF is and lower minors A,A+ hitting .429 in 100 ABS

He's mlb ready now. He'd play RF for us this season and maybe CF after Jones leaves. You can always free up spots for Hays/Mullins by trading Trumbo

If you are talking about Verdugo, he needs to be our cf next year with Jones moving to a corner.

My advice?    Go bowling for the next two hours.

MLB.com keeps saying the Indians thinks the O's want too much for Britton.  What do they think will are supposed to trade him for 3rd tier prospects?  How come the Yankees get a boat load of prospects when they traded A.Miller, but the O's can't get what they want for the best reliever in the game.  It really p...s me off.

What's he saying?

He stated that all players are paying attention to the deadline, for at least two weeks leading up to it, no matter what they say to the media. He said its continually talked about and monitored in the clubhouse and contending teams want everyone they can to make a run at the World Series.

I just appreciated the non player speak. Easier to do as a former player, obviously.

Pisses me off too, but if you want to know part of the reason, I suspect Millers 2.5 years (at the time) at $9m/year had a bit to do with it.

Three suitors for Britton. It's put up or shutup for these teams. Duquette should be asking for the moon until 4:29 then take the best offer.

One, Britton has been hurt.  And two, Indians don't have the resources the Dodgers and Astros have.  They can't compete with their offers for Britton.

    • I have two tickets to Game 1 of the WC which I cannot use due to work travel.  Section 352, row 4, seats 9 & 10.  Asking $70 total for the two.  Paid $205 to the Orioles as a season plan member.   PM me if interested.  Paypal preferred.
    • Can't make game 1. I'll be at game 2...last time I was at a playoff game at Camden, we beat Scherzer and the Tigers.
    • He should be taking fly balls all winter.
    • That was a lot of fun. Felt like there are certain elite seasons that had to be part of the team, and then tried to build from there.  Outfield depth is a little shaky, as is the rotation — though the latter is probably mostly unavoidable. The lineup would rake and the bullpen would shove, so pretty happy with this combination.   C 2022 Adley Rutschman (5.4 rWAR) 1B: 1998 Rafael Palmeiro (6.3) 2B: 2005 Brian Roberts (7.3) 3B: 2015 Manny Machado (7.5) SS: 2024 Gunnar Henderson (8.9) LF: 1999 Brady Anderson (5.9) CF: 2021 Cedric Mullins (5.9) RF: 2008 Nick Markakis (7.4) DH: 2013 Chris Davis (7.1) Bench: 2003 Melvin Mora (4.7) Bench: 2006 Miguel Tejada (4.5) Bench: 2011 Matt Wieters (5.2) Bench: 2001 Jeff Conine (2.9)   SP: 2000 Mike Mussina (5.7) SP: 2007 Erik Bedard (5.7) SP: 2019 John Means (4.4) SP: 2002 Rodrigo Lopez (3.7) SP: 2010 Jeremy Guthrie (4.5) RP: 2016 Zach Britton (4.1) RP: 2023 Felix Bautista (3.0) RP: 2004 B.J. • Gray started off well  but then ran out of steam a bit. He's not getting any younger. I was interested in him last year but I think the Cardinals overpaid and his contract only gets worse.
    • A bit. Nothing life changing, but the format seems…Cleaner.
