Not on the Opening Day roster, no. Maybe a call-up later in the season if he fares well in the minors.

Do you think lefthanded reliever is a spot that they need to address in FA?  I have a hard time seeing that as a priority, especially if they have to go multiple years for a guy.  As we've discussed, we have three internal, cheap solutions with options for one or two spots.

No, lefty relief certainly wouldn't be my priority. A lefty specialist is kind of a useless luxury to have until you have an actual solid starting rotation. Of course, if a good deal on a lefty reliever falls into your lap, you might as well take it. But the Orioles have much bigger problems to address.

I suspect the Orioles may go after two in FA.

This is how you explore moving Chris Davis or even Trumbo.

Except there isn't much reason to believe that Zimmerman, Kennedy, or Bailey would actually improve the O's rotation. The Tigers still have Cabrera at first and the Reds Votto. If the Royals lose Hosmer, would they actually consider Davis? His contract is more onerous than Kennedy's. We ought to be able to make Trumbo part of a deal for a better pitcher.

Zimmerman was almost as bad a Tillman last season and has been in sharp decline for several seasons. He probably wouldn't help as much as either CD or Trumbo.

CD or Trumbo need to be part of a mega-deal (that is, including Britton and Machado) that brings back real ToR starters or SP prospects. The type of deal MacPhail showed better skill at pulling off than Duquette, but I'd be glad to see that change.

My guess is that if Britton looks in spring training like he's again capable of being an elite closer, he won't be traded because the owner won't approve the trade. My further guess is that if there's doubt about Britton's ability to close, based on injury or subpar performance, he won't be traded because the return would be unimpressive.
