Who said he's a #2? Even has backwards as the Orioles are he's a #4 here. His stats are not great for a #4 but they are serviceable.

Meaningless. Bundy, KG, and Cobb are all ahead of him. 

If a #5 matches up with a #1 does that mean the #5 is a 1?

I feel pretty good when Cashner takes the mound, for whatever that is worth. Much better feeling that on days Miley or Jimenez pitched last year, or Tillman still.

I'm saying at the beginning of the season he was expected to be #2, maybe #3 since Cobb was out. Obviously KG has exceeded expectations and moved up, but given Cashner's numbers last year, it's hard not to be disappointed so far.

What numbers are you talking about?  ERA and what else?  

I looked at his numbers last year and saw someone who was lucky, not good.

Career .9 HR/9, highest of his career was 1.3, and last year was 0.8. Suddenly it’s 2.0 this year. Just frustrating that every Orioles signing, at least in terms of starting pitchers, turns to you know what.

Ahh OK, didn't think of that one.  I don't put a lot of stock in HR/9 especially not with a small sample size.

Yeah, not saying he can't or won't improve, just saying so far, I've been kind of disappointed.

Cashner is nowhere near Gallardo. Gallardo was nibble, nibble, nibble, until the bases were loaded and then he’d have to give in and get rocked. 75 pitches to get 10-12 outs.

Cashner is better than Gallardo, Jiminez and Tillman were last year.  We didn't pay much for him. I think if the defense were better his numbers would be a lot more respectable.
