April and May were the first two months of his career the Fourseam was <95 - it's good to see it back.

As an FA after 2020, he's the poster child swing state for me of re-tool v. re-build.  He's making now a good time for him, though it's unfortunate the Mets have bottomed out and he'll be second fiddle to their big pieces.

Schoop FA after 2019, and at a local trough, plus rival Gennett, makes me think offseason (after a rebound, please) won't be much worse than next month.

Givens FA after 2021 would really signal the passing of the baton from the Bundy era to Rodriguez and the 1st rounders who follow him the next couple years.

Four walks in 6 IP certainly is laboring. He ran up his pitch count with two strikes. It looks like he has trouble putting guys away with an out pitch. I think he was fortunate they didn’t capitalize on their opportunities.

He seemed to come up with big pitches when he needed them.  I was at the game on the mezzanine level behind home plate, not really the best place from which to analyze a pitcher.   My overall feeling was his command wasn’t real good but when the chips were down he didn’t make the big mistake.

FB command wasn’t good and he has trouble coming in to LHB. Yes, he avoided the big mistake.

He’s disappointing to me because he has good stuff and doesn’t command it, preventing him from being an impact player.
