Sorry I don't enjoy bad baseball. I watch but I suffer.

I’ve stopped watching, except in snippets.    With Bundy on the mound tonight, I will probably watch, since I get pleasure out of watching him pitch even if the team provides no offensive or defensive support.

The last few years made me really appreciate how much I like to watch good defense and hate to watch bad defense.    Watching Hardy in his prime next to Manny was absolutely sublime, and those 2013-14 teams were really fun to watch on defense.     It’s been a downhill slog since then.

I was at this stage from about August of 2005 through 2011.  From '98-'04 I dealt with the losing, but didn't get the calamity porn level.  It'd take several years of losing and complete utter incompetence to get back there, I think.

I watch with half an eye, but I find myself multi tasking unless the game gets interesting which it rarely does.

I occasionally check in on the game, but between the Wizards, Caps and tonight the NFL draft I've been mostly watching other sports lately.  Even the news channels are less likely to rile me up than the O's these days.

I admit that there is kind of a morbid fascination in seeing how badly the O's can play.  Can we really play .250 baseball for an entire season and challenge the 1962 Mets for most losses in a single season?  How many more bad starts can Tillman have before he is finally put out to pasture?

I would rather watch paint dry than watch the NFL draft.    It’s mind-numbingly boring and over-hyped.   Even in the MLB draft, I’m happy to just tune in for 5 minutes when I know it’s the Orioles’ turn.

Porn is enjoyable, bad baseball is not enjoyable.

Baseball and porn in the same sentence reminds me of one of the more laugh out loud responses I’ve ever read in the comment section of a baseball YouTube (Nolan Ryan vs. Robin Ventura)

”This is great, but I can’t masturbate to it.”

I like the MLB draft. I find it fun.

Oh I totally agree with the OP. I'd almost much rather see them fail in epic fashion so as to be shamed into change. They deserve to have a team this awful because their strategy was awful. I'm glad for the players who do well like Manny and Bundy and Mancini, etc. But otherwise, bring on the losing - ideally in embarrassing fashion - for the betterment of the organization.

I keep wanting to put a vintage video of the Keystone Cops up when I think of the O's now a days.

I'm also reminded of a line from a John Fogerty song.

"It may look easy when you look at me. But it took years of effort to become this mess you see."
