You sure? If you have your Cuban ID Card with you when you land in the US, you are automatically granted citizenship according to federal law passed under the kennedy administration. Are they officially citizens of the DR?

I'm sure.

Green Card for a Cuban Native or Citizen

The Cuban Adjustment Act of 1966 (CAA) allows Cuban natives or citizens living in the United States who meet certain eligibility requirements to apply to become lawful permanent residents (get a Green Card).

This page provides specific information for Cuban natives and citizens in the United States who want to apply for lawful permanent resident status based on the CAA. This is called “adjustment of status.”

LIVING in the US. Not visiting from the DR on a work visa. They both established residence in DR.

1.2 era? When, in high school? Cashner was awful for two straight years (2015, 2016). His 2017 season was the outlier. You don't give back end rotation guys with 5+ eras multi-year contracts.

It’s simple dude ... his career ERA is 4.02 and his 2018 was 5.29 ...so yeah between 1.2 and 1.3 of his career ETA. I’m sure the Orioles were hoping for his career ERA.

They did what it took to get him here and if they got the 4.02 he’d been well worth 2 years and the exercisable 3rd year option.

I don’t get your point! Who were they going to get genius?

Hes making only 8 million per season when good starters are getting 15 per and great starters 20-25.

I think they did fine with the contracts and money. If Cashner rebounds this year he can be traded at the deadline and will have the extra year of control.

For the 2018 Orioles a whole lot went wrong as for 1/2 the season each of their starters were bad.

I think you have a hate Agenda... it’s just not factual considering the circumstances. Tillman was the horrible move We agree on that.

My questions for you... tell me the 3 starters you were going to sign for 28 million in annual value that were available?

and remember the other top starter likely turned the Orioles down to take the 1 year deal elsewhere.

Interview of Victor Mesa (father). He was a legendary Cuban baseball player. At the end he said he’s certain his life will be shared between Cuba and Miami. This is probably the most definitive sign of the Marlins being a front runner for the Mesa Bros.https://t.co/NOyX2cSTux

Beyond that he explains how much sense it makes for Miami to sign both his sons. This is honestly looking like a done deal to me. Mike Hill was named dropped. Wow. I think it’s time we get excited.

Oh, I thought playing in Miami and being Cuban wasn't a factor?

Not done yet but it ain't looking good.

Might not be a factor if the Dodgers, Cubs or Yankees are involved. When the choices are Baltimore or Miami, and your Dad wanting you to play in Little Havana, it probably is.
