I truly find it hard to believe that the line was two miles long.

In the last few years I have traveled to many different countries and I have enjoyed them all.  Been to a ton of places in the US as well and wasnt disappointed in any of them. I really like most things.  Orioles fanfest is not my idea of fun.

Fanfest tickets last year went on sale on December 4th.  See when they go on sale this year. Not much buzz about it and the Orioles probably working on other things. I guess the Holiday 4 pack idea is not happening. Maybe something later in the year. I see the Orioles are not ahead of the curve on season ticket sales. Last year sent out invoices  on January 9th. Looks like five or six teams have not set pricing for 2019 season tickets and a few of those are taking deposits which the Orioles are not. Red Sox and Houston are a few of those teams that have not announced season ticket sales or pricing. Interesting and I think for the first time I can remember the Yankees have 9,12,16 and 20 game plans in 2019.  Cubs claim they have a  100,000 person waiting list for season tickets. which i find hard to believe.

We currently have more than 100,000 people on the Cubs Season Ticket Holder Waiting List.

Angels are doing this,which is different.

  1. Beginning in 2019, Angels Baseball will not accept any printed ticket for admission that is not printed by Angels Baseball on standard or commemorative ticket stock. All other tickets will be via mobile electronic delivery, and no printed tickets (such as pdf documents) will be accepted for entry.
  2.  

As usual the Orioles will be one of the last teams to begin season ticket sales. Some teams are even selling single game tickets as of now.

I had the same experience with Matos. I think he stole a home run over the center field wall, and I remember leaning over the bullpen railing and just seeing his glove pop over the wall and grab the ball. I spent so much time geeking out over Matos baseball cards and alerting my family to the future star on the Orioles.

I see again that the Oriole marketing department is not that forward thinking again this year. i heard they were going to do a Holiday pack but don't look like they are. Many teams do this as a way to sell tickets and people can give as a gift. The Royals are giving tickets to the Royal Fanfest with a holiday pack purchase. The Nationals are giving a holiday ornament with purchase.The Orioles will be hard pressed to draw fans this year. They need to be proactive and not be next to last to  sell season tickets and late on single game  tickets.

      I was listening to a Fox Sports Radio broadcast (sorry, can't remember who it was). They put the teams into tiers. The O's were in the top tier along with the Yankees, Dodgers and Phillies. I don't know how long it's been that during the season, someone would have called us top tier. And to think, this is happening with two of our starters out for the year and Bradish and Kremer have spent time on the IL. We are doing this with Hays, Mullins, Urias and Santander starting the season on an extreme slump. We have done this with Mateo starting almost every day (which most people thought would be a horrible thing). We have done this with a bullpen that has been very inconsistent. Imagine if we get some of this stuff fixed and some people back to just playing to their career averages.

      I'm not sure what we are doing with Vieira. I figured the trade was about the prospect and they had to take him and his salary to make it happen. I expected him to be DFA right away and they would try to send him to the minors to work on him.

      Btw, in the 4 game series against the Jays last year (July 31-Aug. 3rd), it is insane that Mountcastle hit for an .846(!) avg with an OPS of 1.932!

      May 2024 This month, two non-prospects were obvious choices for MiL Plsyer and Pitcher of the Month: Player of the Month 28-year old Daniel Johnson led the org in SLG, OPS, HR (tie) and RBI.  He hit .350/.439/.725 with 6 HR and 23 RBI pm In the prospect division, I’m going with 19-year old Leandro Arias, .333/.400/.667 with 3 HR and 13 RBI in 16 games.   Honorable mentions to Ellis Cuevas at .992 OPS, Heston Kjerstad .964 with 14 RBI in 16 games after returning to the minors, and Stiven Acevedo at .953.   Pitcher of the Month In between stinking up the major leagues, 27-year old Jonathan Heasley pitched 16 scoreless innings with an 0.813 WHIP. In the prospect division, 21-year old Edgar Portes pitched to an 0.42 ERA in 20.2 innings, with an 0.919 WHIP and 11.8 K/9.   Honorable mentions: Eccel Correa 0.96 ERA in 18.2 IP, and Trey Gibson with a 1.76 ERA, 1.044 WHIP, and 15.3 K/9 in 15.1 IP.
