Frobby
...his Orioles teams were undefeated on Opening Day. Even last year’s sorry team managed to win its first game before embarking on a five game losing streak that set the tone for the rest of the season. We always had one day to feel good about the team. I wonder what the odds are of winning on opening day this year? Somewhere between 25-30%, I’d guess. I'm expecting Aaron Judge to set a new single-season home run record on opening day. They could be playing until Sunday, with the O's shut out. eddie83
I was already wondering about the betting lines for these 3 games. I wondered if you bet on the Orioles all 3 and they won 1 of you would come out ahead. Have to think they will be plus 200 or more every game. TonySoprano
In other words, last year was worse than 1988, but at least Buck saved us from
eddie83
Last loss on Opening Day was the Mike Gonzalez debacle in 2010. Getting booed in pregame and then in the 9th when he blew the game. Good times. Frustrated fans taking out over a decade of anger on one player.

Wow, that's a pretty incredible stat, especially with the lack of an "ace" at any point during Buck's tenure.

Buck's teams was the best in the AL for five years. I know people like to kick the dude, he was far from perfect, but he was a good manager. SteveA
And we've had three straight WALKOFF wins on OD. Can't happen this year as we open on the road, maybe next week in the he opener.
oriole
We all know where they’ll end up in the standings but it’d be so sweet to at least take OD from the Yankees.
Moose Milligan
I was thinking about this the other day. The Orioles usually show up on Opening Day and even before Buck, I think they win most of their 1st games. An OD victory would be a feather in the cap on what looks to be a bleak season. 24fps
How satisfying would it be, for this Orioles team to beat the Yankees on opening day in New York?
Finisher
Well the odds of winning opening day just dropped. Cashner starting.
