At least we won’t have to worry about any posts speculating how much Straily is worth if the Orioles trade him in July.

Haha, oh man, are you sure about that?  I think we're going to see a few posts about trying to snag a low level prospect because an NL team is desperate and he'll be way better in the NL.

We’ll see it the first time he goes 6 innings with 2 earned runs. I know better by now. ?

ERA under 3 in the second half?

I’ll never forget the day we traded Steve Trachsel. It’s convinced me that even the most trash pitcher is worth something to someone, somewhere. As long as you're not paying him much.

Even Vernon Wells is a corollary to that statement.

There is no one close to ready or blocked at the moment.  Just give this guy the ball for another month and then we will see where the minor league options are.

Straily has an 11.78 ERA, .388 avg against, 2.35 WHIP at Camden Yards.  He has  1.00 ERA, .156 avg against, 0.78 WHIP on the road.

His next start will be on the road.  Yankee Stadium, which will not be easy but I think they have to let him make that start.  After that he probably needs to be DFA'd.

At that point I would put Ynoa in the rotation.   Call up Sean Gilmartin to the O's pen.

Maybe.  And that would be Ok.But Ynoa is not a future rotation piece in my mind but may be a good bullpen piece.  Giilmartin is a lefty and 29 and not a future piece of the rebuild seemingly.   I would tend to let someone doing well like Ynoa stay where he is for awhile.
