Ynoa to the rotation replacing whom?

I see no reason not to let Ynoa start( if there is a reason please let me know.)

The question is who would he replace?

Hess and Bundy are both infuriating. I’m not sure who will be able to fix his problems soonest but Hess seems most like to lose his spot.

what says the crowd?

Hyde pretty much said he’s going to leave Ynoa in a relief role for now.

I think Hess is in much more danger of losing his spot than Bundy is.   Bundy hasn’t been great, but has managed to pitch 5+ innings in his last five consecutive starts.  Hess on the other hand has failed to last five innings in three of his last four outings.    That puts a lot of strain on the bullpen.

Straily hasn’t been very good of late either.    He gets something of a pass because he joined the team late, but he needs to start pitching better or he could lose his spot.

Wel, if Ynoa remains In the bullpen, then our bad starters can’t lose spots, because there’s nobody with whom to replace them, right? Ramirez might start But I don’t have that much faith in him.

He has done nothing in his minors career to suggest that his SSS results are sustainable. We have plenty of need in the bullpen too so I'm fine keeping him where he is.

I agree with that comment completely, but the fact is, most of our current rotation guys are pretty lousy, so there’s no reason not to give a chance to guys like Ynoa.

Instead of having him come into the game halfway through the third or fourth inning, we’re down 6 to 2, he could start. I don’t know whether he can give us five innings but I’d sure be willing to find out.

Ynoa went 12-5 with a 3.97 ERA in the PCL, which is a hitters league.  I wonder what his park adjusted numbers would be?

Wouldn’t you like to see how he would be in the totation?

Well, he had a great game...Everything was working for him, but that really is a sparkling exception to what has become the rule with him.

I’m the village optimist when it comes to Bundy.   He’s allowing fewer hits than innings pitched, his walk rate is reasonable, and he’s striking out a ton of guys.    His problem boils down to one thing: allowing too many homers.   But that has calmed down recently, with two homerless starts in his last three.     I say he’s capable of going on a run of good pitching.

5+ ERA at Norfolk which is a pitchers' park. Tyler Wilson had a few good games when he came up. I expect Ynoa to be about that (not) good.
