He still has PLENTY of that. He just can't make contact.

That is where you are statistically most likely to find a T-Ball stand.

It amazes me that Davis is thrown so many pitches that are so far out of the strike zone. Is it lack of command, a belief he'll swing at that stuff, or fear of The Crusher? I think one of those possibilities can be ruled out.
O's84
Can't walk the worst guy in the line up by far.

Gary has said, talking to coaches on opposing teams, for all his ineptitude teams still fear Davis' power. One mistake pitch in a close game and he could beat you. I was going to say something about the Orioles moving some home games to Williamsport, but that seemed a little cruel.

scOtt
Good play Blach! coulda thrown home, missed, or not get it there in time... instead he focuses on the not so easy out at 1B. 2 down, 4 run lead.
spiritof66
I was pretty sure Blach would throw home, unsuccessfully, to set up a big, inning.

Yes but somehow, Davis still has a rep in this game.
O's84
A little unlucky that inning giving up 2 runs. It was all started by a lead of walk though. Next time don't walk the guy hitting .133 and turn the line up over.

Yeah. Less true for Davis than for maybe 90 percent or so of non-pitchers. Either that, or opposing pitchers are making damn few mistakes against him.
