DJ's slash line after returning from the DL last season in 102 ABs was an acceptable (promising?) .255/.342/.431/.773. 4 HRs, 6 doubles, 13 walks, 18 Ks, 15 RBIs.

I think that’s roughly who he’ll be as a major leaguer.   Maybe he can push the BA/OBP up another 10-20 points with experience.

Mountcastle to join O's on April 10th.

Stewart to get his bat going in AAA to begin the season.

There is no shortage of players that can step in for Stewart.

I’d like to see us try and establish Wilkerson at 2B. Like you pointed out, we have options for COF, and more options in the immediate pipeline. Middle IF, even 2B, is a place where we have little organizational depth.

I think in ST Wilkerson plays all over.     2B/SS 3B/LF/CF/RF.   I think O's mgt will want to know how he plays at SS in the ST to see if he can play well enough to give the starting SS a day off.    His best position is probably 2B.  Before Mountcastle is promoted  Wilkerson probably sees action in the corner OF position.    He may also be Hays backup in CF.

 He probably also gets to hit against righties and lefties in ST.   But he is going to have to show he can hit lefties to play against them in the regular season IMO

If Davis is actually going to play they can just keep Mancini in OF to start.

I think Mountcastle stays down much longer than that. I don’t think they will be so blatant about a service time issue. I could see him staying down perhaps until around Memorial Day. It will also buy them some time with others.
