What are some examples of pitchers with a walk rate like Hall's who turned out well?

Not responsive to your question but remember these guys are being asked to work on things that wind up driving walks up.

“The other thing you see increase with that is walk rate with a lot of guys. Because they are throwing a lot of non-fastballs in fastball counts. So, learning how to command all their other pitches and throwing them in different counts, we’re going to walk more guys because that is just a byproduct of doing some of that work at the minor league level. I’d much rather have them doing it now than trying to figure that out at Triple-A or the big leagues.

We're going to do things a little different this year by going from one to ten instead of counting back!

Who are the #1 and #2 Orioles Prospects after the 2019 season?

You didn’t specify which Hall, but I’m assuming Adam Hall is further down.

I have no doubt that Rutschman is #1 and that either Hall or Rodriguez is #2.     But Hall vs. Rodriguez is something of a coin toss.    My sense is that Hall has the slightly higher ceiling, Rodriguez a substantially higher floor.     Based on that, I personally would choose Rodriguez #2 but Tony always like ceiling so I’m going with Rutschman-Hall in the poll.

I guess I outsmarted myself.   It’s not the first time.

You are not alone in having Hall over Rodriguez. Honestly, they are 2 and 2A for me but I just think the pitchability of Rodriguez puts him slightly ahead of Hall. I wouldn't pitch a fit if someone had Hall over Rodriguez over particularly because he's left-handed. I'm glad the Orioles have them both.

Really. Hall was a  given at the slot we picked. It would have been easy to skip Grayson and I am so glad we did not.

To be clear, I would rank Rodriguez over Hall, by a slim margin.   But I’d guessed you would go the other way on the basis that Hall has slightly more upside if everything goes right.    I guessed wrong.    Like you, I’m excited to have both.   I’m just hoping to keep them healthy and developing well.
