Cody Carroll 2020 ERA: Over/Under 100.00?

He and Phillips are both clearly guys that had success in the minors by having good stuff and getting hitters to chase.  They have horrendous command.  Carroll missed his spot by 3 feet several times.

I'd keep throwing them out there this year because why not but I don't think either has a chance of being a ML pitcher without some mechanical adjustments that will refine command.

He bumped it up to 162.00 yesterday after another disastrous outing... So what do we think? Over/Under 100.00 for his MLB time this season?

In all seriousness, I'm ready to see Tom Eshelman.

He didn't "bump it up" to 162.00 yesterday.  It was infinity before yesterday's game so he actually lowered it by a huge amount.

I have a feeling he’ll be one of those guys who enjoys success with his next organization. The stuff is there. If someone can get him to spot better and attack hitters he could be good. Or he could be like Mike Wright.

Anyone see any mechanical red flags in the delivery that could be leading to the atrocious command?

As the great scholars once said, Huh?

Winning games isn't a concern for Elias.  I can't say if he'd rather get a higher pick than win games but he's pretty clearly not willing to promote young players before their service time can be gamed...I mean before they are ready.  He's also not shown much of a willingness to expend resources to improve the product on the field.

Caroll reminds me of Mike Wright. He throws REALLY hard but without accuracy.

I have little faith in any of the trade return guys we got in the ‘18 sell off, aside from Possibly Kremer, who will get his chance soon, and Encarnacion, who is what, 18 now? Jury’s our on them. But Rogers, Phillips, Carroll, send ‘em on their way.

Technically it was 108.00 after he recorded the strikeout of Gardner, then it bumped up.  But either way, it's awful
