For anyone that missed it, Blach underwent Tommy John last year before the season started. He re signed with Baltimore this year and has just started his rehab assignment, pitching in Delmarva. Only 5 innings so far, but any progress from that surgery is good.

I would expect Blach back next season and in AAA, ready for a shuttle ride. Akin did good today, but they might want to keep a low cost, veteran left handed pitcher around.
