Other Than the O's, Best World Series You Ever Watched?

Can’t get behind ‘86 since I have hated the Mets every single day since 1969.   In ‘86, I hated them much more than the Red Sox, which weren’t the same huge-spending team with self-entitled fans they are today.   And then like half the Mets team wrote autobiographies or accounts of the season.   Couldn’t go to the baseball shelf of a bookstore without seeing like 20 books by or about the Mets.   Yuck!

if only I could reorder time.   I’d have loved to watch the Red Sox lose a WS game by having their 1B have a routine grounder go through his legs if it were 2018.

Favorites: 1987/1991. Maybe it was the 55k hankies (j/k), but the Twins were a fun team to watch. The top pitchers (Viola/Morris) of each pitching games 1,4,7. 

Least: 2014 with SF/KC for obvious reasons, and I was living in KC at the time.

I don't remember much in the way of detail before the 90's, but Yanks/Dbacks is always the best to me. Loved the Nats series, and their whole run, too.

Was living in Los Angeles, in my late teens. A guy who had a crush on me took me to a Dodgers-Yankees WS game, 1977. Relationship with the guy didn’t go anywhere but the one with baseball was cemented for life.

1997 World Series with the Marlins and Indians. Yes there was some schadenfreude involved after watching the Indians knock off the Orioles in the ALCS.
