The home plate ump either hates the Orioles, is a fan of the Rays or is just flat out awful at his job.

Most umps don't have a clear understanding of the strike zone. It's rare to find one who has really poor game management.

That's the kind of ball that good hitters slap in the outfield for a single, or maybe hit it in the gap for a double.  He hit it 390 feet. somehow.  That's like the kind of thing you'd expect from Aaron Judge or prime Chris Davis.

He’s also the one who called the interference and let the Rays interference stand.
