We need 7+ IP. 2ER or less.
Load management all season. FA year so we played nice with him. It’s time for him to show up. He’ll get to throw to his preferred C in McCann because of LH Skubal.
I like to try and be realistic, but this Tigers lineup is very beatable. The bar should really be higher than 7+ IP.
No more excuses.
I’m saying they go with McCann at C. Adley at DH. Slater in LF. Cowser is CF.
Cowser and Gunnar should be our only LHH starting.
No more BS from Burnes. We need 7+ IP and 2ER or less.
Gil is only -200 as the favorite. That’s like only being slightly better than a Field Goal favorite in an NFL game.
He’s probably a bigger favorite because Gil is a Yankee. Probably closer to a dead heat if Gil played for the Twins.
We need to do it right this time and have Cal throw out game 1 first pitch. Don’t f around.
I like Wes Moore, mostly because the dude is a huge O’s fan, but let’s get this right. It’s Cal all day.
Maybe for Game 2 you have Bautista come out with his entrance from the dugout and do it.
The pressure is off. The monkey is of our backs a little. We’re going into the playoffs with little expectations. The team has gotten healthy.
I bet we win these next two games. The bats get to loosen up a bit. Maybe Mayo cranks one. A Daniel Johnson 3-4 type game?
I had a feeling that Povich would have a big start against his former organization that traded him. Also, to knock them out.
I think I saw his ERA finished at 5.21. That’s not bad. I don’t think he had a “protected” ERA either. We let him take some beatings to eat innings some games.
Losing Burnes will suck, but we have Eflin and Grayson has our TOR arms. Kremer and Suarez are #3.5 types. Povich is a #4.5 type. McDermott is our #6 SP for next season.
As we learned this year, we probably need 8-9 SP options. I don’t know who else in the minors could step up as depth, but we’ll still have Bradish and Means as August/September hopefuls. We’ll just have to see what the new ownership does in their first FA.
