Because I saw someone asked, here are some things to do in Baltimore if you're in town for an O's game (all relatively near the stadium).

1. Top golf

2. American Visionary Art Musem

3. Crabcakes at Faidleys (Lexington Market has been re-done and it's gorgeous)

4. Eat at Little Italy or in Federal Hill

5. Aquarium/Science Center (especially if you have kids in tow)/Museum of Industry

6. Go Sailing (rent a boat yourself, or go on a "cruise")

7. Fort McHenry (take the water taxi)

8. Walk around, especially in Federal Hill or Little Italy (or Patterson Park! - but it's a little further away) there are festivals, free concerts etc nearly every weekend during the summer.

Love this thread and all the suggestions!

I’ll add: go see a show at Everyman Theatre. It’s right near where Alewife used to be.  Local, professional theatre that does really great, thought-provoking work.

Train lover then the B%O museum.a must. Like someone said a local brewery. Union Craft is cool and also Baltimore whiskey are at the Union Craft complex. Most tours are on weekends ,not sure if you are here on the weekends. Other you can go to Guisness  before they change it.

-Go over to Fell’s Point and have a drink at the oldest continuously operated pub “The Horse You Came In On” established 1775 and claims to be the last place Edgar Allen Poe was seen.

-Eat Bertha’s Mussels

-Visit “The Block” for some entertainment 😉

Bertha's went out of business a couple months ago

The Block is pretty dismal these days, if you really want to see some nudity there are probably better places.

A couple other breweries:

-- Checkerspot probably has the best quality beer in town and it's not far from the ballpark

-- In Hamden, where Union Craft is, Nepenthe is another very good brewery

-- Peabody Heights in Waverly is on the site where the old Oriole Park was, which burned down in 1944, and is a good brewery too and usually has live entertainment.

-- Two new brewers have opened up very close to the ballpark, just west of Ravens Stadium, in the past year.  Pickett's and Wico Street.  Wico Street kind of specializes in sour style beers if that is something you like.

-- Mobtown and Monument in Canton are worth mentioning too, and Diamondback in Federal Hill.

Bertha’s isn’t closed, they are still posting on Facebook and people have pictures eating there 3 days ago.  The Block has been dismal for a long time.
