I think they sign the lease in  September or right before the playoffs.  Looks like John will have to work for development around the stadium and further out with the CBAC,GBC,Breamble group and even the Ravens. Should be interesting to see how all the entities work together to redevelop around The Walk, near Topgolf and closer to the stadium. Heard the Ravens might build a parking garage. So that might free up some space between the stadiums.

Looks generally good for MLB, with attendance up for 24 of 30 teams.  I wonder what’s driving Cleveland’s big increase?  They haven’t had a good year at all.  I guess they sold a lot of season tickets based off last year’s playoff appearance.

NFL might have exclusivity to that song, based on the Sunday Night Football intro. Granted, the lyrics have been changed and Carry Underwood/Faith Hill have been singing it. Still the same song otherwise though.

They should only play that for teams like the Browns and Cardinals

Why just the Browns and Cardinals? I don't get it. The Lyrics are "I been waitin all day for Sunday Night" sang to the tune of "I Hate Myself For Lovin You."

It's a joke.  Browns and Cardinals fans have suffered a long time so they should get the original lyrics.  Maybe throw in the Lions too.

And now, having explained it, the joke is dead.  Press F to pay respects.

Last night was the 71st home game.  Through 70 home games, the O’s were at 1,597,807, compared to 1.209,105 last year.  That’s a 32.1% increase over last year.

Adding in last night’s meager 14,442, with 10 home dates left, home attendance is now 1,612,249.   So, the O’s would need to average 28,775 for the remaining 10 home dates to reach 1.9 mm for the year.  That includes the immediate 4 game series with the Rays, a 2 game weekday series with the Nats, and a closing 4 game set with the Red Sox.  I’d say it’s an uphill battle to reach 1.9 mm, but not impossible.  It may depend on how close the divisional race is on that final homestand.

I think they finish a little above 1,900,000. Tonight looks about 20,000 or slightly above. Friday is a sellout. Saturday right around that. They opened up the right field corner for that game. Sunday looks good ,30,000 or so. Nationals games in the 15,000 or so. Saturdays game against the Red Sox is also close to a sellout.RIght field corner is also being sold for that game. Looks like somewhere around 290,000 or so attendance for the last 10 games which takes them over 1,900,000 .

Attendance last year was 1,368,367 but only had 78 gates.  Should be about 36% over last year or so if you add in the three dates.

Remember today's gane starts at 7:15 .Fox game.

I'm surprised.  It looked bigger than that on TV.

But thanks for the update.  I was actively curious.

I was there. I thought it looked like a big crowd all around the infield, and there were a few emty seats sprinkled through out the middle interior seats of some of the sections, but once you got to the end of the foul lines you could notice big chunks of sections with empty seats. Now that I'm thinking critically about it, I think close to 25k sounds pretty accurate. The crowd was very loud and cheered alot for the Orioles. They even had the Bowie Baysox hype man there and he was doing his best to energize the crowed. I mean he was really giving all his energy into getting people to lighten up and cheer for the team. So was the Fired Up Guy (who's name is Merrell).

Overall it was a decent crowd. They supported the team. I just wish there were a few drunk hecklers who would have been effective at distracting the Rays pitchers and getting them off their game LOL.
