Respect!? O’s are 4th in MLB.com’s power rankings

Top 3 is pretty clear cut to me: ATL, LAD, TEX

4-6:  BAL, PHI, ARI.

7-9:  HOU, TBR, and NYY have more head winds.

10-15:  CHC, TOR, NYM, SEA, MIL, CIN - maybe more upside in this grouping than the 7-9 range too.

16-21:  DET, MIN, STL, SFG, CLE, MIA - mix of stable producers and upside

22-26:  SDP, BOS, KC, PIT, LAA - Lost in transition.

27-30:  CHW, WAS, COL, OAK - Just lost.

NYY, CHC, and BOS can move up a tier with a few strokes of the pen.  FWIW - I don't think BAL moves into the next stratosphere even with a TOR trade and another RP splash

I wonder what KC fans are saying about their ranking after their FA signings.

I would swap WSH and LAA if I wanted to quibble. LAA might be a worse organization than the CWS.

Yankees? Lol.

Strong point.

Put it this way, I think the Yankees winning 101 games seems a lot less far-fetched today than the Orioles winning 101 games probably seemed on 1/3/23. I guess we'll just have to see!

He did make the most of his small sample in Texas, for sure.

But his separation between his batting average and his on base percentage has always been elite, no matter what level he's been at.

I feel fine with being ranked 4th, too.

With a OBP between .397 and .438 over 3 minor league seasons and one major league campaign, there's a lot to like in Evan Carter.
