Did the Orioles quietly raise ticket prices?

I have a flex membership and exhausted the original balance that was prepaid. I have been purchasing tickets for more games and noticed that the prices are now higher than what I paid when I purchased tickets in advance several months ago.

For instance, I bought 4 tickets in Sec 34 for 8/16 on 4/23. They were $79 ea. I just looked, and tickets in the same part of Sec 34 are $87.

I thought that I may have lost the discount after I used all the Flex Plan funds, but no. When I logged out of my account the tickets were $102 ea.

Orioles have always used a variable pricing model of late.  Depending on who the opponent is.....what day of the week it is.....if there's a promotion.   The prices may be higher.   It is definitely not going to be the same price at each seat for all 81 games.

Weren't there higher prices for certain in demand games.  Were you getting discounts for preseason purchasing?  At the $87 level you might do better on stubhub if you buy well ahead of time.

If demand for all games has gone up they are all in demand games.

No. I originally purchased on 4/23, after the season started. They might be listed for that on StubHub and SeatGeek, but the fees are brutal.

I checked for this using the same game, same section and same level of rows as tickets I purchased in late April

    • The outfield might be slick from all the rain. I think that can influence lineup decisions.
    • @Bahama O's Fanor a free trial of any streaming platform. YouTube TV, Directtv, etc.
    • I’ve been rending my garments over Adley and his struggles for months now. But I will say that it seems like a bit of an odd time to come together as a group on the notion of benching him — just as he’s been starting to show some signs of being Adley again.  Over the last week of the season, Adley had a 50% hard hit rate and an average EV of 89.9 MPH. Those numbers absolutely dwarf what he was doing for months, when he was sitting at more like a 26% HH rate and an 85 MPH EV. Anecdotally, I can’t even remember the last time we saw Adley drive a ball into the left-center gap like he did multiple times against MIN. That’s Adley at his very best, and it was a sight for sore eyes.  I’m not sold that he’s 100% back, and I would still stick with McCann catching Burnes tomorrow (especially since using Adley as the DH is viable with a LHP starter in Ragans). But I sincerely doubt we can run the table without at least a few stretches of Adley being Adley — so I think this recent spurt is probably enough to warrant sending him out there every day still, in hopes that he really is getting it locked back in.
    • Apparently, if you just waited to buy tickets, you could just basically go for free. Well done orioles.
    • Well, they likely would not have drafted an overslot SS with the second round pick if they had taken another HS SS first overall, so would you rather have Henderson and Rutschman or just Witt?
    • It’s my understanding that nationally televised games are usually blacked out. Consider a free trial subscription of Fubo if they are still offering it.
    • The Orioles starters absolutely have to do better against the Royals. You can't ask this bullpen to pitch most of the game and expect to win. Right now I probably trust Coulombe the most and Soto (which I never would have guessed a couple weeks back). Perez has been really shaky recently to the point I'm wondering is he nursing a tired arm or minor injuey. Cano hasn't been good as well and O's really need him to get back into a groove. And Akin is usually trustworthy, but only starting the inning clean.
