we really needed this game...Yankees are finding their stride, and we cant afford to keep flailing and scuffling..Im hopeful something moves tomorrow in the trade deadline...this team as it is constructed now is not good enough to go very far in the playoffs..or even get to the playoffs.

It's so clear that pitching is on fumes.   Need a couple of higher caliber arms.   Elias has no choice if the intent is to get into the WS.

This defense used to make every play.  It was almost automatic and I took it for granted.  It has fallen apart in recent weeks.   So odd.

Stowers, Norby, Kjerstad, Urias, Beavers, Fabian, McDermott, Povich, Johnson, Wagner, etc

It really doesn't have to be Skubal level.  There are guys they can get.

Burch Smith, Irvin and/or Akin. If Elias can get upgrades someone has to go.

Prospect wise as trade bait anyone not in the top three.
