Yeah modern day Scott McGregor would be sweet but I often wonder in today's game how Scottie would fair.

That is possible. He will have to prove it. The X factor will be how much he can spend. But making (good) trades this off-season may be more difficult, as other GM's think they can get him to overpay like he did with Rogers.

Did he overpay in the Bundy trade?, The Elfin trade? The Sir Anthony trade? The Jorge Lopez Trade?.

At least from a depth standpoint it would make it easier to let Irvin go.

He won some and lost some like all GMs do. Sir Anthony that one is too early. He's been up and down here.
