When you run out your DH who becomes a pumpkin every summer, you get what you get. O'Hearn is slashing .191/.305/.338/.643 coming into his 0-for night again tonight. Just like last year he disappears when it matters.

The frustrating thing is that the O’s have not been playing fundamentally sound for about a month.  It is just too tough to win consistently when you give away outs.   But this is basically the same group of guys who played really good fundamental ball for the last year and a half, so what happened?  It’s like half of the team has been possessed by the ghost of teams past managed by the likes of Lee Mazzilli, Sam Perlozzo, and Dave Trembley.

They are in a rut and need to get out of it if they are going to get things on track.  Most importantly, the infield defense needs to tighten up big time.  Second, the O’s really need Adley to get it going at the plate.  There are two months left and they are plenty talented enough to win the division.  Go O’s!

The coaching for the Os is really falling down. Bad fundamentals, bad communication, bad swing choices.

i was disappointed in 2013 when the Os only won 85 games.  We’re still going to win 91 games if we go .500 the rest of the way, but going .500 is not at all guaranteed.

Twins are only 4.5 games back. O's could easily fall out of the playoffs completely.

Its times like this when I miss Buck

39-16 when Burnes, Rodriguez, Bradish, Means, or Eflin start. 26-29 when anyone else starts. Their 4/5 starters need to be better.

The O's were hoping that Kremer was one of the better starters.  He's looked more and more like a #5/spot starter.

If Eflin can pitch well that gives the Orioles 3 out 5 starting rotation spots where they can get the win. That's better than it just bring Burnes and Grayson. Rogers was pitching better recently until yesterday, but he's got show something his next start.

Agree. Just pointing out that they’re very good when they have a good starting pitcher.
