Rodrigo Lopez has TJ Surgery

Rodrigo Lopez will require at least 10 months to recover after he needed to have an elbow ligament repaired during his surgery to fix a torn flexor tendon in his right arm.

Lopez didn't go into the operation room expecting to have Tommy John surgery. He might be able to return around the All Star Break next season, but will likely miss all of the 2008 season.

That really sucks for him. I wonder if anyone will sign him or if he will remain a free agent for the year.

I guess he would sign a minor league deal with somebody.

That's a shame. I've always rooted for R-Lo, with the Birds or afterwards.
