It just angers me that he gets excuse after excuse after EXCUSE on this board by certain posters while Jones who is also doing much better gets bashed. I don't get it. Jones is an All-star and a GG winner. Markakis has done NOTHING OUTSTANDING HIS ENTIRE CAREER.

Nick's OPS is over 200 points higher than Adam's. Nick's slugging percentage and OBP are both much higher. The reason Markakis doesn't get bashed as much is because he's having a much, much better season than Jones is.

FYI - Jones and Markakis just had back-to-back RBI base hits with RISP to tie the game, followed by a Wieters 3-run homer with RISP to take the 7-4 lead, followed by a double into the gap by Tejada. Pretty clutch.

Cmon Frobby, Jones got hurt last season and missed a bunch of games. That isn't even a fair comparison as he didn't play in nearly as many game and you know that. My Lord, are even you that biased for Markakis versus Jones?

Hey, he just equalled his entire season totals in rbis in this game (5) which is great but I hope he saves some for later when we may need them even more. How about Wiggy hitting two homers? Wieters also had a three run shot. The entire team seems to have caught fire and maybe it was sparked by Miggi's clutch hitting yesterday? Who knows?
