When did Wiggy become such a solid first baseman?

He seems to make at least one above average play every game. Dude hasn't been a good hitter in 3 months but he's bringing it defensively.

Meh, I disagree. I think he's still the same crappy guy he's always been. He makes some picks, but all 1B make those picks. I don't think he's any better, or even as good, as most 1B at picking the ball, and he's definitely not as good at getting to groundballs to his right as most guys.

I find it a little obnoxious that the Yankees PA announcer uses the same format to introduce Yankees players as Bob Sheppard did. #__, (player name), #__. The new guy isn't Sheppard and it doesn't work without Sheppard's old school upper crust accent.
