Nope. The seeds are set in advance. It’s assumed that the highest seed will win and that the O’s are advantaged by playing the 4 seed in the ALDS rather than the 3 seed. But that breaks down when the 3 seed (which is the 3rd division winner) is actually worse than the 4 seed, or if there’s an upset in the first round so that the 5th or 6th seed advances. Know what? I don’t really care. If the O’s are the best team, they’ll beat whoever is in front of them. -

I'm uncertain why they would consider getting rid of these two guys... seems to me they're about as stable / great player as there is -

The O’s found ways to win all year. When they weren’t pitching well, they hit the snot out of the ball. When they weren’t hitting well, the pitchers came up big. The playoffs will be tough, but the Orioles are resourceful. So, I’m not overly concerned that the bats were a little cold the last few weeks. I like their chances as much as any other team’s.

They didnt have to score a lot of runs...The Dodgers scored just 2 runs the entire series, the lowest number of runs ever scored by one team in a World Series, a record unique to 1966. -
Here's what I think (position players): Guys that won't be back in Baltimore Stowers Vavra Lester Benboom Guys I wouldn't be surprised if they moved for parts and pieces Nor by (caught in a numbers game) Ortiz (one of he or Mateo must go) Mateo (see above) Urias (if they think Westburg's bat will come around. Urias offensive production was down quite a bit this year) Frazier (no room for him, especially if Holluday is close) Hays (although I think they keep him) Hicks (he may stay as a no- cost insurance policy) Mullins (aging centerfieldet and my favorite player on this team, but I don't think he is in the long- term plans) Santander (may be the last year to cash in on his value if Kjerstad is ready to take over in right)
