Andino has power. 16 home runs last year (13 at AAA-Norfolk, 3 with Baltimore).

He is unloved by me. I hate his glove on throw downs. Rarely catches it or make a sloppy tag. He robs Matty of a good number of throw outs. I hate seeing the throw arrive ahead of the runner only to see Andino in the receiving end. Hold your breath time. If it is Hardy taking the throw, marvel at the throw from Matt. If it is Andino, hope he catches it followed by hope he gets his glove down. Not something I want to continue next year. Andino might be a MLB guy, but not at 2nd or short, IMHO.

I think Andino has done a fine job under the circumstances. I'd like to think we can find a better option next year, but you could do worse.

I don't know if Andino is a long-term solution as our regular second-baseman, but I would certainly like to have him as our (very versatile) 3rd middle infielder IF Brian Roberts can come back next year along with J.J. Hardy. We'll see what happens.

Doubt it. But I have a hunch he's our starter next season. He seems to be a "Buck guy." Either way, the playing time this year has been good for all parties. We finally know, I think, exactly what we have with Robert. He's a credible big-league backup at three infield positions. Nothing wrong with that.

Really grown on me. He's improved fundamentally. He's a legit bench MI on pretty much any big league roster.

With Robert Andino, I think we are watching a ML player grow and develop right in front of us. We should be rooting for him and hope it continues.
