The difference between this signing (and Wada too) and signing guys like Saunders is the ones we made won't hurt as much if the pitchers are a letdown. Hopefully we know what we're getting into with these guys and not just throwing money down the drain.

I'd like to know what the contract is, and if they 100% see him as a starter. Unlike Wada who could be either or.

It's better than wasting money on guys like Kevin Gregg. We'll just have to wait and see. When you can't EVER sign the big names, you have to use all of your resources, such as international efforts. In the past, the O's would have even used that resource.
