I have to admit, I'm a little surprised to see Wieters even DHing today. I thought he might get the whole day off. And I'm not all that enthusiastic about Betemit in LF but I suppose there's no other option.

We had better pray the Rangers don't hit anything to LF. Except a lazy fly ball maybe, i think he could handle that.

Ahhh, look at the bigger picture, Aaron. My Rangers-Busters proclamation aside :laughlol:, tonight is just one game. The worst that could happen is that we would lose the game tonight. If we lose 3-2 and don't make any errors, or if we lose 10-2 and Betemit makes 3 errors in left-field and Exposito is charged with 2 passed balls, it's still only counts as one game in the standings. Considering that the bullpen was pressed to the max this past weekend, and the fact that Matt just caught 17 innings yesterday, I think that those factors (the bullpen pitchers recovering, as well as Matt recovering) are more important over the course of the next week or so than is tonight's solitary game.

So, the deck is stacked against us tonight. But the worst thing that could happen is that we would lose the game, and we would be 19-10 after the loss ..... but the bullpen and Matt will both (presumably) have been given some much-needed recovery time. And hey, we might even get lucky and win in spite of the fact that we have Exposito catching, Betemit in left, and the bullpen being severely limited in availability.

Nolan would have looked good in this lineup tonight. But, when a team is hot, and playing confident, look for an unexpected Oriole to step up tonight. Who knows, Esposito could be the guy who does. It's up to our Starting Pitcher to stand tall tonight....

Right, the long term factors (keeping the bullpen and Wieters healthy) are far, far more important than just this one game. I know we need to do whatever it takes to keep these guys fresh. I am just hoping that there aren't a lot of sharp hits to left field by Texas tonight.
