This and Povich just pitched 3 days ago. So if the plan is to replace Wells with Povich, they’ll option Bañuelos in a couple days for Povich. -
Presumably they called up Banuelos because he was already with the team. He will undoubtedly be sent down tomorrow and it gives them flexibility to pinch hit for McCan -

Yeah Wells was good for about 5 innings 4 runs. The bar is not set that high. -
But he can fill the gap until Means and/or Bradish are ready, then go back down. He’s not a guy that needs to stay up. -
Maybe to make it easier to pinch hit for McCann without having to catch Adley tonight?

Woah this is news. They will probably use the off day to skip 1 rotation starter and then figure out the next go around next week. Povich needs about 10-11 more starts to match the sample size he had before they promoted him from AA to AAA Norfolk.
