You know what? If this were the Stankees or the Red Sux, I'd be jumping up and down and cheering and laughing. In fact, I'd be doing so if this were almost any other team in the major leagues other than Seattle.

I'm not a fan of Seattle, but I really have to feel bad for them here. We picked up Andy McPhail's trade of the century off of them, getting some outstanding pieces for a guy who barely ever gave any value at all to Seattle. They dealt Ichiro, who was pretty much the face of the team -- it'd be like the 2012 O's dealing Hammel or Jones or Chen or Markakis. They've got a losing season. Noesi is 2-11, and probably 2-12 after today.

Like I said, I'm not a fan, but this is an embarrassment to the sport because it's just so bad. Noesi, their team overall, the trades they've made... they've gotten the short end of the stick A LOT. The Seattle Mariners have also never made an appearance in the World Series, despite consistently being in Seattle and named the "Mariners" steadily since the ripe old year of 1977.

I have winner's guilt for the little guy. Such an unusual emotion for an Orioles fan. If this were any other year since 1997, I'd be sympathizing with the Mariners, wallowing with them in the gutter. But not this year. :)

Ryan having a tough inning at SS--I think AJ scared the s**t out of him coming into second. He then ran so hard it almost looked like he cd have continued home and made it after the ball rolled into short LF. AJ's going to be fierce in the remaining games, which are about as many as there are in a football season.

Yeah Adam looks locked in right now.

Wow. I can't remember the last time we scored 7 in the first two innings - and we're not done!

Hey didn't we score 7 in the second inning of that great comeback W against the Yankees in NY (Davis grand slam, etc.)? That was also a Tillman start.

      I agree with this. The unfortunate part of that is it typically takes leaving to figure that part out. Most of us lack that ability to “recognize what we have” and resist the other.   With all that being said, I’m not sure that concept necessarily applies here. He could certainly move on, get the bag, and land in a place with good people and good opportunity.

      It’s more than just not being Angelos.    People see the resources this group has relative to the Angelos family.  The stage of life many in the group are in. There’s a lot of people around the city with connections to the ownership group and you hear a very consistent theme of what the group is looking to do.

      I'll be honest, wasn't on my radar until this post. I went back and watched his outing and all of your observations are right on in my opinion. Lots of swing and miss and definitely not a195 pounds lol. Has had command problem in past but not this outing.  I'll see what I an dig up about him but would be nice to have velo.

      He's top ten for me easy. The real question is whether he's the team's best pitching prospect or not? Povich has it right now due to his success in AAA, but nobody brings the stuff that DeLeon brings consistently in the system. He's a taller Cionel Perez with a changeup.

      Ha, I know you love your boy!   He is improving but while he's "versatile" in that he has experience at a lot of positions, he's not really good at any of them. He reminds me a bit of Rick Short but shorty was a better hitter overall albeit with a little less power than Cook. I still think he's an org guy but he may at some point work his way into a major league bench one day. There are worse guys who played in the majors for sure.
