So Bud Norris has remained a league average (to below average) starter since he came here. What a shock that he is following his career norm.

Below average, you might want to rethink that.

So now he out with a bum elbow

Figures that Feldman who is a rental is pitching well, but Norris who will be on the roster next year has elbow problems.

So how many starters do we need to sign in the offseason... I sure hope we are not penciling Norris into the 2014 rotation.

Given his last six starts, I wouldn't be quick to say Feldman is a rental. I think he has a good shot to be on this club next year.

There is another thread with that same topic ongoing.

Well by rental I mean that they gave up Strop and Arietta for a couple months of Feldman with no contract in place.

They have the same opportunity as every team in baseball to sign him for next year (and beyond), but they would have had the same opportunity + Arietta + Strop if they did not "rent" him this year.

Ok, I get that, rental and chance for return contact, if he does well.

Except, Strop was being DFA'd. And Jake would have been non tendered.
