Gausman still could be the fifth starter right away

Ill bite, who would lose their spot if Gausman stays? I don't think this should happen, just curious people's thoughts.

I think he is first man up if an injury occurs.

Glad we have someone who can give them the heater and does not have to hope that everything is just perfect to succeed.

And can work his way out of difficulty by giving him the heater. BTW, several of his strike outs were on off-speed pitches and sliders.

Good to hear, thx Weams.

I would love to have Gausman' date=' Bundy and Santana knocking down the door in June. We can easily trade a starter at the July deadline. If we keep them all, Chen is going to need more of a break later in the year.[/quote']

Interesting angle... Having this kind of depth may allow us to skip a few of Chen's starts around July/August, the time of year he usually wears down. I wouldn't have a problem with that, as it might keep Chen healthy and ready to go for the stretch run and the playoffs.

I could also Bundy being used in a later reliever role this year if the back end of our bullpen falters.

What more does he have to do? Dealing tonight in AAA hitting 100mph. This Kid should be starting for us.

Who cares about velocity, was it a strike?
