These Orioles are good. Very good. The results are ongoing. IMHO we're strong in all sectors of an organization: Players, Scouting, Coaching, Front Office, and Ownership. We have a multitude of star-level and potential star-level players along with a solid veteran cast. As well, we have some excellent prospects on the verge of helping us. We have scouts with a good eye for talent We have quality coaching throughout the system We have a top-tier front office (which includes our international efforts) We now have ownership that should be able to re-sign our own guys and even add (gulp) quality free agents, and let the front office do their job. While it's fair to say that Rubenstein has proved little thus far, I expect him to be a good owner. Most of the puzzle pieces are in place, but many would agree there is more to do to win a World Series. What gives me hope is that the resources are in place to make these improvements (bullpen, etc) and a smart GM that can fill our needs. Anyway, I'm feeling good and hope you all are, too. -

The weather in Baltimore has been absolutely rough recently. I read it has rained something like 14 of the last 18 weekends in town. That is going to depress attendance a bit. -

Yes and I think that would be a good decision. His blister won't fully heal until he misses a start or 2. -
Baltimore really hasn’t had many great draws so far. In one sense, the Yankees Monday through Thursday was great because they got decent crowds out of days that normally draw the worst crowds. But Oakland, Arizona, Seattle on the weekends is rough. Tampa is in a few weeks as well. You’re not getting out of towners for those. I’m not expecting great attendance numbers for this upcoming week. -

Good call. I agree this would be a strong possibility. They will find a way to avoid a DFA. -
They made a horrible decision on Kimbrel. He struggled a bunch in Phillie last year. He’s looked no different here and mostly appears a high wire act. A big waste of $12 million while still under John Angelos.
