That makes sense, but have they all been given an opportunity to play for a month and see what kind of numbers they put up?

None of these guys are young prospects that haven't been given a chance -

Snider, 27

Young, 29

In other words, they've all had lots of opportunities to prove that they are worthy of a starting role. KC was willing to give up Lough, Minnesota on Parmalee, the Orioles on Reimold, Toronto and Pittsburgh on Snider, and multiple teams on Young.

It's not just Buck and the Orioles. None of them have ever claimed an everyday job. None of them will be handed one here.
