Yeah, that is the problem with so-called quality starts. It enables starters who give up 10 runs in a game or two to then have games where they give up 3 in 6 innings and people have the illusion that they are improving (though they still lose) and continue to run them out there for even more games of giving up 9 or 10.

Of course, had de aza not totally blown that one play, Norris might still be in there in a 1-2 game. Not an impressive start, but de aza really hosed him.

He may have a "long leash" only because there is no one really ready to take over, but Bud Norris has down nothing to hold onto his spot in this rotation. Terible. TOO MANY PITCHES. Poor command. No ability to dominate anyone. Next???

Did Delmon throw to the wrong place on the hit? I know De Aza misjudged , but did Delmon make a mistake too?

Yes. He threw to third allowing the run to score.

This team is simply not playing up to it's abilities and it is not looking very likely to change anytime soon.

I really believe Matusz could've done better than Norris had he started this game.

He has looked really good his last few appearances, but the devil is in the consistency.

Get De Aza off this team. Bring up Reimold. Put Reimold in LF and Lough in RF. Bring up Davies to take Norris' spot in the rotation. Put Norris in the "Jason Garcia" role. Send Garcia back.

Ball hit well to left field that he would of caught had he gone back but he completely misjudged it and went forward only to realize stupidly too late his mistake.

This. No one is playing better than DeAza in the minors really. Though I would be all for Davis in RF and Parmalee at 1B.

Last year we had one of baseball's best defenses. This year, the outfield play has been very bad at times and even at best it is not as good as last year's outfield defense. Manny has not played anywhere near as well as he has in previous years. Until JJ returned, ss was not good. Overall, another reason why we are not winning games thus far.
